Cowboys Host CSU

By Keith Kelley posted Mar 6, 2013 at 2:27PM

The Wyoming Cowboys host Colorado State in a Border War battle to end the regular season for the Pokes.  The Rams have lost two of their last three games, as they look to earn the Mountain West’s #2 seed at next week’s conference tournament.  The CSU defense has not been as strong over the last several games, as individuals such as New Mexico’s Kendall Williams (46), Air Force’s Michael Lyons (45), and Boise State’s Derrick Marks (38), have all put up big numbers against the Rams lately.  Wyoming head coach Larry Shyatt hasn’t focused on that.  Instead, Shyatt says they do what they do, and that’s been enough most of the year.

Tip off with the Rams tonight in the AA is set for 8:00 pm.  A pair of seniors, Leonard Washington and Derrious Gilmore, will be honored before the game, as it is senior night.

Also, Wyoming men’s basketball player Luke Martinez plead not guilty to a felony count of aggravated assault and battery today.  Martinez had his arraignment today in Albany County district court.  His trial is set for August 26-28.
