Supplement FY ’14 Budget Talks Take Center Stage

By Mick Birge posted Feb 4, 2013 at 6:21AM

Action on the supplemental state budget bill for fiscal 2014 will dominate both houses of the Wyoming Legislature this week.

Identical budget bills drafted by the Legislature’s Joint Appropriations Committee will get their first readings today in both the full House and Senate.

Both houses plan second readings on Wednesday and final readings Friday.

fund.

Mead is warning the state may need to access more ready cash in coming years of projected flat revenues.

Some senior lawmakers they believe the state needs to continue to grow permanent savings for the interest income.
