Blustery, Chilly Weather

By DayWeather, Inc. posted Feb 14, 2013 at 9:11AM

A passing cold front will bring additional scattered snow showers, wind and blowing snow to the state today and Friday.  Winter Weather Advisories for portions of northeastern and north central Wyoming remain in effect through 5 PM.  The Winter Weather Advisory for the Snowy Range and Sierra Madres remains in effect through 12 noon on Friday.  Strong, gusty winds are leading to areas of blowing and drifting snow and reduced visibility, especially in the north and southeast.  This is expected to continue through Friday morning.

Friday will feature additional snow for the state’s mountains with scattered snow showers on the plains as well.  It will be another chilly day with strong winds in the east.

The weather calms down just in time for the weekend.  Saturday’s weather looks to be mainly dry and also warmer.  Strong west winds are expected along I-80.
