Current Wyoming state school’s superintendent Cindy Hill continues to fight back against allegations against her by some state lawmakers. She denies that she’s failed to follow up and implement the legislature’s education reform mandates the last two years since she was elected to the office.
Hill says recent testimony from the Legislative Services Office to the Joint Education Committee earlier this session also confirms that she and her office have not missed any deadlines in implementing the legislature’s education reform measures.
Hill calls Senate File 104, that passed the state senate last week, a “power grab” some state lawmakers. The bill is co-sponsored by Senator Hank Coe of Cody and Representative Matt Teeters of Lingle.
The House Appropriations Committee is scheduled to begin discussing Senate File 104 today.
