Miss Wyoming Continues To Promote “Fit For Life!”

By Mick Birge posted Jan 25, 2013 at 6:25AM

Lexie Madden has been a busy lady since she placed as the third runner-up in the Miss America pageant two weeks ago in Las Vegas.

The 21-year old UW student is the first Miss Wyoming to make the Top Five at the Miss America Pageant in 65 years.

Lexie says the pageant was an incredible experience.

Judges in Las Vegas say they were impressed by Lexie’s performance of her self-composed “Canzone Lenta” on the piano, and her pageant platform “Forever Fit’ to raise awareness of the importance of physical activity for today’s youths

The Torrington High School graduate says her ambition is to earn a doctorate in pediatric physical therapy specializing in rehabilitation care for children.

Madden tells our affiliate KROE that she’s been busy promoting her platform,“Forever Fit”, and that she’ll continue to do so during the remainder of her time as Miss Wyoming.

Lexie says that she’s looking forward to attending the Miss America homecoming for Mallory Hagan that will take place in New York City this upcoming March.
