The Wyoming Highway Patrol is continuing its increased patrols this holiday season.

And that includes additional troopers on patrol for the upcoming late night New Year’s Eve celebrations.

That’s Sargent Steve Townsend with WHP.  He says these extra patrols are called “saturation patrols” and troopers will be solely looking for drivers under the influence of drugs or alcohol.   Towsend says the state has a no tolerance stance when it comes to impaired driving.

Law enforcement agencies across the Cowboy State are also increasing “saturation patrols” locally.
