It’s Wyoming made and Wyoming proud and in less than a half hour, the first batch of Wyoming Whiskey was sold out Saturday morning. Gene In works at Star Liquors in Sheridan.
He tells our affiliate KROE he’s amazed.
Wyoming Whiskey is made in small batches and aged at least three years. Company officials say it’s all about making traditional bourbon in an untraditional place, namely Kirby, Wyoming. And it’s sold only in the Cowboy State. Wyoming-made, the wheat and barley is raised in the Kirby area and the water comes from the Madison Formation in the Powder River Basin.
Star Liquors limit store purchases of Wyoming Whiskey, when they have it, to just two bottles!
Sharon Barnett was hoping to snatch a couple of bottles for her two sons for Christmas. All she found at the liquor store was an empty display case.
Wyoming Whiskey will be restocked in January, February, and March of 2013.
