For most of uost of us, our schools are safe havens where our kids can learn, find new friends, and enjoy recess.
We drop them off each school day, fully expecting to pick them up after school.
But the recent memory of the Sandy Hook Elementary School murders continues to haunt us and the debate on guns in schools for protection continues.
Our affiliate KROE in Sheridan took this question to the streets this past week, “Should all public schools be staffed with armed police officers?”
Of course 26 people lost their lives at Sandy Hook, including 20 kids, all first graders ages 6 and 7.
