Governor Mead is recommending an $11.4 million cut in state funding for the University of Wyoming.
Mead’s proposal would provide money for merit pay raises for UW employees and for one of the largest building projects ever undertaken at the university.
The governor’s recommendations call for a 6 percent reduction for the university in the 2013-14 fiscal year while most other state agencies would see an 8 percent reduction.
