The second half was the difference for the Wyoming Cowboys in their 73-60 win over North Carolina Central in the Global Sports Hoops Showcase in Laramie last night.  The Cowboys built a 15 point lead in the first half, and then went stone cold from three point range, missing 11 in a row at one point.  The cold shooting led to a 14-2 run by North Carolina Central, and a 38-36 Cowboy halftime lead.  The Cowboys shot 55 percent from the field in the second half, and clamped down on defense to come up with the win.  Senior Leonard Washington’s double-double  and senior guard Luke Matrtinez’s 20 points led the Cowboys, Washington finished with 17 points and 10 rebounds.  The Cowboys improve to 2-0 on the season, and will play South Dakota tonight in game two of the Global Sports Hoops Showcase.  South Dakota lost to Southern yesterday 83-79.
