Father Of The Modern “Jump Shot” To Be Inducted Into Basketball Hall Of Fame

The former University of Wyoming player who is credited by some with inventing the modern jump shot is about to be inducted into the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame.

Kenny Sailors is set to be inducted in a ceremony Sunday. He’s among 10 people who will receive the honor in Kansas City, Mo.

Sailors led Wyoming to the 1943 NCAA Championship. Sailors is 91 years old and lives in Laramie.
