Last season, Austyn Carta-Samuels was in a competition for the starting quarterback for the Wyoming Cowboy football team. He did not win that battle, as Robert Benjamin started the year at behind center. Carta-Samuels took over though and has been the starter since and will be the starter heading into the 2010 year. Even though there won’t be a battle this fall, ACS believes the competition will still be good. (audio with ACS)
The Cowboys will report for fall camp on August 4th. This time next week is football media day for the Mountain West Conference in Las Vegas.
