Summer weather, strong late day thunderstorms

By DayWeather, Inc. posted Jun 21, 2010 at 7:28AM

The Summer Solstice arrived at 5:28 MTN time this morning. Summer weather will finally get established across Wyoming this week with temperatures expected to remain steady and warmer than the past few weeks. However, expect some late day thunderstorms, a few of which may be strong in the north and east today and Tuesday. Portions of northern Wyoming (near the Montana line) are under a Flash Flood Watch today. Some of the stronger thunderstorms may produce hail, heavy rain and possible tornado activity. A very damaging tornado hit Billings, MT late Sunday afternoon. See tornado video here.
