CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Frontier Oil Corp. is reducing the work force at its Cheyenne refinery (pictured) for the second time in eight months.
The Houston-based corporation said Tuesday that it’s laying off 12 salaried employees as it struggles with weak demand for gasoline and diesel products.
Frontier issued a news release saying the staffing reductions will help the company reduce operating costs and return the refinery to profitability.
The announcement follows staff reductions at the Cheyenne refinery last October, when the company cut 14 salaried employees and 14 hourly workers
