Last fall was a whirlwind for freshman quarterback Austyn Carta-Samuels. He went from fall practice as a back up to a starting quarterback by the fourth game of the year. Carta-Samuels led the Cowboys to a New Mexico bowl win and earned Freshman of the year honors from the Mountain West Conference. Offensive coordinator Marcus Arroyo says Carta-Samuels has done a good job this spring taking a step back to really learn the Cowboy’s offensive system…..MARCUS ARROYO The Cowboys are in the final week of spring practice, they will practice today and Thursday with the spring game set for Saturday.
