The Wyoming Treasurer’s Office has millions of dollars owed to state residents and it wants to give it to the rightful owners.

The unclaimed property division of the state treasurers office is launching it’s annual effort to connect Wyomingites with money that may be theirs that they don’t know about.  Nancy Russell is the unclaimed property director for the treasurers department.  She says unclaimed property can come from any number of sources…(Click to hear comment from Nancy Russell)

To if any of the money is yours, you can visit the treasures website to see if your name is on the list.  Russell also says they will open a phone bank for the next two weeks starting Sunday so they can talk to owners of unclaimed property and mail out claims.  Russell says this is not a scam and residents can feel comfortable calling in with questions and giving out information.
