The Governor says Senate File 61 would do just that. Now a pilot program described in the bill would help up to 500 low-income working Wyomingites identify chronic conditions before they blossom into catastrophes. The Governor says treating and controlling such conditions in their early stages preserves qualify-of-life for the patient and is less expensive.
The bill is sponsored by Senator Charles Scott of Natrona County (also pictured). A similar bill failed to pass a year ago…(Click to hear comment from Sen. Scott)
The program would be paid for with $1 million from tobacco settlement funds.
