For the second day in a row, executives from Toyota are answering questions on Capital Hill about the automaker’s problems with gas pedals lodging on floor mats and pedals that can get stuck causing cars to accelerate out of control. The problems have caused Toyota to recall some 8 million vehicles.
While the executives are answering questions from congress, Cheyenne’s local Toyota dealer is doing all it can to help those affected by the recall. Sitzman says the recall problems really haven’t hurt business in the dealership’s service department all that much. He says the economy has negatively impacted business more than anything.
