WYO “Through With Chew Campaign” Kicks Off Valentine’s Day

The Wyoming Department’s annual Through With Chew campaign kicks off Valentine’s Day.

And getting kids around the state to never start chewing or try smokeless tobacco products is the special focus of this year’s campaign.

D’Eufemia says this year’s campaign focuses on fifth graders…

Smokeless tobacco use rates in Wyoming are well above national averages and among the highest in the United States. And close to 4 percent of Wyoming middle school girls reported using chewing tobacco, snuff or dip in the past 30 days.
