Police are continuing their investigation into Sunday night’s armed robbery of a northside convenience story. Police say two men armed with pistols robbed the Diamond Shamrock convenience store on Vandehei Avenue near I-25, the sixth in a string of robberies that police believe are linked.
The Sunday night robbery was the second time the store was robbed in a week. Police say the description of the suspects is similar to those in four other recent convenience store robberies.
The Cheyenne Police Department has formed a task force with the U.S. Marshals Service, the Laramie County Sheriff’s Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Explosives to investigate the robberies.
Investigators say suspects in the six robberies have been dressed similarly, including masks and clothing. He says it’s possible a group is working together and different suspects have carried out the different robberies.
Nobody has been hurt in the robberies.
