Pokes Win Boot, Bowl Game Now On Tap

bronze bootWhile holding up the Bronze Boot, the traveling trophy that goes to the winner of the Wyoming/Colorado State football game, the Wyoming Cowboys sang the fight song in front of thousands of happy Cowboy fans at Sonny Lubbick Field at Huges Stadium Friday afternoon…….POKES SING

It was a thrilling come from behind win for the Cowboys beating CSU 17-16, as walk-on freshman kicker Ian Watts knocked down the game winning field goal with about a minute and half left in the game……WATTS WININNG FG

Freshman quarterback Austyn Carta-Samuels ran for  two touchdowns for the Cowboys, and says the win for for the seniors……ACS

The Cowboys now will play the waiting game to find which bowl game they will be going to, though some projections have the Cowboys tabbed for the New Mexico Bowl to play Fresno State out of the western Athletic Conference in Albuquerque on December 19th.  The official announcement probably won’t come until the weekend.
