The state’s Travel, Recreation, Wildlife and Cultural Resources Committee is addressing the potential problem of invasive aquatic species here in Wyoming.

Burns says the negative effect mussels can have on lakes and streams is quite serious as well.  He says mussels also use a lot of nutrients that is naturally in the water, thus affecting the food chain and water quality.
