August ends cooler, September off to a good start

By DayWeather, Inc. posted Aug 31, 2009 at 10:22AM

The last day of August will bring slightly cooler temperatures and scattered showers and thunderstorms to Wyoming before some drier, more stable air will move into Wyoming by mid week. Warmer and drier conditions are expected by mid to late in the week.  However, precipitation chances will increase by the weekend as some of the remanants of Pacific Hurricane Jimena may drift into the region this weekend increasing our thunderstorm chances statewide, especially on Sunday and Labor Day Monday.
