A Moist, Cool Day With Warmer Weather Ahead

By DayWeather, Inc. posted May 23, 2013 at 9:45AM

A weather disturbance has brought a cool, moist air mass to the Cowboy State.  Dew points are mainly in the 30s and 40s with some fog in the southeast.  This moisture will allow for scattered showers and thunderstorms later today, especially  in the northwest and east.

A warmer, drier air mass starts to move in on Friday.  Holiday travelers be ready for a few isolated thunderstorms in the east and in the mountains Friday afternoon and evening.

The upcoming holiday weekend looks warm on the weather front.  There should be plenty of sun to go around both Saturday and Sunday.  Daytime highs will range from the 60s in the mountains to the 70s and 80s in the lower elevations.  A few isolated to widely scattered thunderstorms cannot be ruled out in the mountains and in the east.

A Few Thunderstroms, Cooler in the East Thursday

By DayWeather, Inc. posted May 22, 2013 at 12:06PM

A quiet start to Wednesday will be interrupted by a few isolated to widely scattered thunderstorms this afternoon and evening.  Northwest Wyoming will see the best chance for shower and thunderstorm activity.

A weather disturbance grazes through the eastern third of the state tonight into Thursday morning.  Temperatures will slip in the east tomorrow.  Expect scattered showers and thunderstorms mainly in the east and northwest on Thursday.   We will also add some stronger winds to the forecast.  Strong winds will gust to 30 and 40 mph at times in some area.  High temperatures will be mainly in mid 50s to the mid 60s in the east, with some 70s in central and western locations.

Real men wear sunscreen

By Ty Stockton posted May 20, 2013 at 4:00AM

We’ve all done it. The fish are really biting, so we stay out too long under the summer sun, and we come home looking like a lobster. But that’s a recipe for disaster. I’ll tell you why on today’s show.
